Pimple Attack!

AAaahhhhh … My Face Is Breaking Out!!!

I Need Proactive STAT!! Haha!

I’ve never had a problem with pimples before, but it seems as if I have adult onset acne or something! There is a dime size cluster on the right side of my face! o_O Now, I’m probably over reacting, because I know I have not been drinking my water, and I have not been eating like I should.

Now with that said… it still sucks!! Lol! I want them gone… NOW!! lol!

So… I did a little research and I thought I’d share it with you guys!

If you want pimples and acne to disappear, you need to take precautionary measures to prevent them from occurring in the first place. When a pimple pops up, washing your face every five minutes won’t help, which I’ve known, but recently found out. Lol!!

But you can prepare yourself for the next attack, how? Follow the tips mentioned below! You probably already know these, but I didn’t. If you have more tips… PLEASE let me know!

The reason for a pimply face is clogged pores. If you want to prevent that from happening; wash your face with a gentle soap two times a day. There are instructions regarding the washing part too, never scrub, it’s not good for the skin, so move your hands in a circular motion to create lather and rinse off with warm water. Remember, warm and not hot water. You don’t have to over do the washing part, because that causes irrigation to the skin. Prevent the skin from greasing, so that the pores don’t get blocked.

Cleanse your face with a good cleansing lotion once a week. Many experts suggest cleansing the face daily, let’s admit it; no one really has that much time, unless you’re an “I-have-all-the-time-in-the-world-for-my-face” kind of person. Washing the face twice daily is enough. So try to include cleansing in your schedule at least once a week. It will clean all the extra dirt that gathers on your face to due to pollution and other elements.

Keep a hanky or tissues with you so that you don’t wipe sweat or touch your face with your fingers. Not only are the germs on the hands transmitted to facial skin, but it also spreads the bacteria on the skin which can cause the pores to get inflamed.

If you like wearing a headband or a scarf, use a clean one everyday; because the dirt in them can cause irritation on your skin. Also, glasses and sunglasses should be cleaned more often to prevent the blockage of pores around your eyes and nose. This includes pillow cases ladies!!

Always wipe your face clean when you apply makeup, and never go to sleep with makeup on your face. Don’t use makeup that is old or smells wrong and buy brands that mention they are noncomedogenic.

Also don’t forget to protect your skin from the sun, because tanning can cause acne to get really bad. So use a good sun block, the one that has the ability to stand the heat of the region you live in. It is advised to use a sun block between SPF 45-60.

I hope this helps you! … And i really hope it helps me too!! Wish me luck!!

Love you guys! Here’s to clear skin!

Okay! so about the cleansers, facial soap and all those, if they do not contain salicylic acid, you just wasted your money buying them. Also, you need to buy products with benzoyl peroxide.

I’ll start by saying, that you should look for allergy-tested, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores) brands that have been stripped of ingredients that cause redness, rashes, breakout, burning, or itching.
    Next,
Cleanse! Using a nondetergent bar, lotion, or gel.
Tone! Dab some astringent or toner on a fluffy 100% cotton ball and apply it to your face. Astringent or toner will help to slough off dead skin cells (a process technically known as exfoliation) and remove excess oil. (*to be honest, I don’t use a toner on my face. Never have, never will. But that’s my choice, so, you make yours).
Moisturise! This will seal in natural fluids and replace moisture your skin loses due to sun, wind, perspiration, artificial air conditioning/heating, and pollution. All skin types need moisture!

Okay! so, to give your skin some TLC. Try these:

    1. Drink six to eight glasses of water each day to cleanse your skin from the inside out. Sodas and lattes don’t count!

    2. Every day, apply a lotion with an SPF of 15 or higher to protect your skin from harmful rays of the sun. Apply it right after your moisturiser, or use a moisturiser or foundation that already has sunscreen mixed in.

    3. Once or twice a week, open up your pores with a bowl of steaming water or by pressing a wet, warm washcloth against your face for two to four minutes. Then splash with lukewarm water – about 10 times. Now, apply a facial scrub to chase away any dull-looking skin. Choose one made with tiny round beads, not ground up fruit pits! Rinse with warm water.

    4. When you have an acne attack, switch to a cleanser or toner that contains salicylic acid. Then apply a product with benzoyl peroxide directly on zits to kill bacteria and speed up the healing process. If these over-the-counter zit zappers aren’t giving you the results you want, go to your local dermatologist for help. All acne (and pimples) can be treated.

Another thing that works is to wash/cleanse your face every night and too apply some natural 100% unrefined shea butter to your face esp. the area(s) you get pimples/zits/acne on before you sleep. You should have the shea butter on for at least 8 hours before you wash it off. This helps.

Gaaah! long message! lol, but it works! :)
