Really appreciated the e-book ;) Thanks for making it available. I found it informative and also to the point. I particularly appreciated the focus on diet which is so often left out by many. That is probably the part I forget about the most but I know its probably one of the most important elements in growing healthy hair. Thanks again and may God continue to bless you :) I think i’ll go back to it when I need reminding of some things.

Hello! Thank you for such an informative book! I was feeling a bit discouraged at the time b/c I’d slacked off of working out; was still eating pretty healthy, but still…..You’ve helped remotivate me to staying the course of eating healthier & sticking to my workout regimen of which I started again. It’s been slow going but I’m learning in life that slow & steady wins the race! :)

    • Jerie says:

Thanks for the info. At my age, I have been back and forth between relaxer and natural like a relationship with a man. However, I have taken the last stand and decided that I will never go back to a relaxer again. I will maintain the hair and braincells that are remaining:) Again, thanks for the info.

      • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Haha! You’re funny! ‘relationship with a man’ lol! I’m glad you liked the ebook! Thanks for reading it! :0)

    • Lea says:

I enjoyed the reading the e-book. I felt the book was really informative and helpful. I plan to utilize the tips you included in the book. I also think your videos are some of the best that I’ve watched for individuals trying to go natural; your videos covered areas that I was curious about. Thank you for being so thorough and informative.

    • Tara says:

The E-book was great! I’ll be 1 year natural on the 18th, and found the tips to be very helpful. I already eat healthy (no sugar, no caffeine, no soda, no chocolate (fortunately I’m allergic, otherwise…), but seeing that it not only helps my health but supports hair growth put a big smile on my face. Thank you so much for sharing!

    • Diane says:

I found you on YouTube, and was impressed with your information, very helpful. The EBook reinforced some things I am learning. I did the big chop May 2011. So I am constantly searching for how to take care of my hair. Which is very curly and fine.
Thanks, you are doing a great job!

    • Kim says:

I loved the e-book! I will definitely be on the lookout for products that don’t contain bad chemicals. I learned something new about Lysine being beneficial in hair growth. I might add it to my regimen of vitamins.

    • Ingrid says:

The book was wonderful. I often wondered about the factors that could be contributing toy dry scalp. The book made me aware that it maybe the hot water that I use to wash my hair. From now on I will use lukewarm water. Thank-you for writing the book…it is much appreciated.

    • Michelle says:

I thought the e-book was full of some valuable information; and I LOVE the fact that you stress the importance of incorporating health and fitness as part of “keeping what you you grow”! Absolutely love it!

    • Ashley says:

The e-book gave me some great tips in taking care of my hair. The change I will be making will be sticking to my diet and exercise.

    • Cassandra says:

I enjoyed the book and even more, the fact that you have it available for us. I knew most of the information but to have it repeated again and have access to it at my fingertips all in one place is wonderful.

I also really liked the video you posted where you just had your regular hair washed and did not put any styling product in it. Your hair did not have many defined curls or bounce and you allowed us a look into your hair in its most natural state. My hair is just like that and I thought something was wrong with it. Once you put in the products and worked with your hair it looked beautiful.
It made me realize that natural hair takes time and work and when we put that into it, we get amazing results. Thank you for being so candid.

As far as the book is concerned, I am still learning for be more patient with my hair.

A new subscriber who is learning a lot :)

Hey Cassandra! Thanks so much for your feedback on both the e-book and the video!

The funny thing is, I was hesitant to post that video, mainly because I looked a hot mess! lol! But I am so glad and thankful that I did! It has helped a lot of people and I am truly happy about that! :0) I guess I took one for the team, but it was well worth it, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat! lol!

Talk to you soon, and see you in the next video!!

    • regina says:

Thanks for making available such a valuable resource. I know that I need to get my diet and exercise regimen in place and start taking my vitamins. Doing those things will not only promote healthy hair growth, but i know I will feel much better and have energy to keep up with my 2yrold!
      thanks again

    • Diondra says:

The e-book was very helpful and I will use the information for my healthy natural hair journey and thank you

    • Roz says:

I was up late Saturday night surfing the web and literally stumbled onto your sight. Your book is very insightful and helpful. I have not had a relaxer for the last 3 years and have used different products. My hair has grown tremendously. I have worn weaves to made my own wigs to the point that I am now wearing a nice mixed gray Vanessa wig that looks like my own hair. I am ready to take the wigs off and wear my own hair but don’t know how to style it or maintain it. I have pressed it but stopped, flat ironed it with the titanium flat iron but stopped because it can be a lot of work. Any suggestions? Is it normal for one side of year head to have longer thicker hair than the other? Not by much but noticeable to me.

      Thanks for listening!

    • Shawn Malone says:

I wasn’t able to download the e-book, is it still available?

    • Shawn says:

I really enjoyed reading your book. The main thing I need to stop doing is to keep my hands out of my hair when dry and to hydrate.
      Thank you, for the information.

    • Valerie says:

Thanks so much for the E-Book. It is so much appreciated…the natural journey can be frustrating at times and definitely challenging…but I so appreciate the information and encouragement.

    • Erin says:

Thank you sooo much for the ebook. The information was concise and to the point. This will truly help me on my hair journey

    • Danesha says:

I was thinking about doing the mini twists but was curious how long it takes u to take them down? And how difficult is it to take them down with doing the braiding at the tip?

      • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

If you are going to do mini twists, I wouldn’t suggest braiding, just plain twisting. To take them down with minimal breakage it takes a couple hours as long as the twists are nice and neat when you put them in. No borrowed hair or stray hair while twisting.

    • Jackie says:

Thanks for the book. The information is very useful, and I’ll be employing some of the tips immediately!

    • Savoia says:

Thank you for the ebook i really learned alot and it also answered a few questions i was going to ask you eventually :} but i will try to make some of these changes. some will take a little longer than others but i think of it all as baby steps to a better me :) thanks again and ill keep you posted :)

I’m a little ashamed to say, thiis is my third attempt but I can honestly say that this time I have truly embraced the concept and ideals of allowing my hair to grow in its natural state. Most importantly, my husband provided me with a confirmation that I was doing a great thing!

      • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

    • fredia kisart says:

Thanks so much for reminding me of what I should have been doing all the time. I have been natural more than half my life! {25-30 yrs}I learned to care for my hair years ago, and I helped others grow their hair, but not mine. I got caught up in braiding for convenience sake, and I stopped talking care of my own hair. My only concern was that I had enough to braid. I traded in the relaxer for the braids and still my hair suffered. My hair was neglected for many years, but I am on the right track again, really good idea about the shower filter, I will do this and be more gentle with my hair. You spoke on things that few of us talk about , like the sun and pollutants in the air. Having good water, these are simple things, thanks again, and please continue to educate.

    • tajuana says:

Love reading the book and learning that my hair has to be protected from the sun and the nourishment from healthy foods. Great read!

Hello, I thought your book was awesome! I loved the information provided so thank you so much for that.

    • Kokia says:

Just days before I found your Youtube reveiw I was telling my fiancee that growing my hair was not my problem keeping my hair IS…I went three years with out a big chop growing my hair natural it was so full and pretty and in Nov.11 before my engagement I went to the dominicans three times and noticed my hair length was getting short it started thinning and I just told my self I needed more moisture and to treat my hair .I did this with no results and than made a huge mistake by relaxing my hair now my length is gone my beauitful natural hair is ruined it is broken off in a number of places and is very thin so your book was a savior.Thank you for keeping us people who don’t know better informed!! I will turn in faithfully for new updates .You have a follwer for life.

      • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Awww! Thanks Kokia! ONG, I’m so sorry that happened to you! I know it had to be frustrating! But the best thing is… it will definitely grow back! :0) And it will be back to that length, if not longer in no time! I’ll look forward to your emails and comments! :0)

    • ericka says:

    • Kimberly says:

Hi! I really enjoyed reading your e-book. The information contained therein is very informative. I have made a copy to continue to go back and read again until I can get it in my memory. It is very simple and easy to follow the caring of our hair. Thank you very much! I look forward to viewing and reading more of your work. Again, thank you for your time in doing this.

    • larisha says:

Short and sweet and straight to the point

    • Millicent says:

Tell me what you think, cause I believe the straighter the hair the faster it grows and that super curly and super nappy hair grow less per month. My hair grew with hot pressing combs the same rate as it did with braids and twists. However, I spent less on products with hot comb pressed hair than I am spending now with natural nappy hair. Also sulfate and paraben free shampoo does not always mean the shampoo is gentle on the hair and scalp. If you are placing product on the hair every day or every other day, I would suggest washing the hair twice a week, to remove the product build up off the scalp. Washing does not damage the hair, it is the combing, twisting and braiding that pulls the hair out. Hair can be damaged by using products that disrupt the pH balance of the hair, too acidic or too alkaline products are as damaging as washing the hair with lye and sulfates. Watch out for products containing anti-freeze chemicals, the glycols, no one wants to wash or condition their hair in radiator coolants.

    • Janet says:

Hi there: Thanks so much for the Ebook, it was very very informative.

    • ericka says:

      Good info thanks

    • Sherita says:

I truly appreciate the time you have taken out to inform the newbies. I am currently transitioning and it has been kind of tough but the information about becoming more knowledgeable and educating oneself has been beneficial to me. Thank you once again and continue to bless others as you have done already. Many blessings to you!

    • Karen says:

I love the e-book. I especially liked the vitamin tips, the season changes tip and the massage tip. I have been taking vitamins for the past two months now and can really tell the difference. I try to move more, haven’t quite got up to exercising yet but I expect to soon(got new vids). I’m a massage therapist so I already knew the benefits of healing touch. I loved that it was included in the book.

      • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Thanks sooo much for the e-book! Its not often that someone will compile this much great information and offer it to EVERYONE for free without having a catch. It has been very informative and I have already begun to incorporate some of these practices into my regimen. Thanks again!

    • Kingsley says:

Very informative hun. There were some things I already knew about, and some that I did not. One thing I changed that helped my hair immensely was my stress levels. Stress not only damages the health of your hair, it can kill you! Try to live stress free and all other aspects of your life will fall into the place where you want and need them to be : )

    • Kelly says:

The E-Book is a real must not only for my hair but to remind me to take care of my whole being. Great food for thought. I love that you point out how what we eat or go through (life, consumption or elements) plays a huge part in my hair growth. I’m new to this natural hair growth, but after reading this e-book i’m really excited about learning to grow healthy natural hair. Thank you for sharing, i’m looking forward to the journey. :-)

    • crystal munroe says:

the e-book was very informative, i love your writing style. the thing that i will change is paying attention to the seasons, i come from a place where it’s summer all year round and i had my hair in braids all the time, and that made it grow long and healthy but now that i’m living somewhere that has all 4 seasons i didn’t realize i would have to change that, so thank you

    • Cheri Spann says:

    • Sarah says:

Thank’s for the e-book. I really enjoy the e-book. Most information you have to pay for, so free information is great. However I had a big problem with dry hair. I recently had breast cancer, so I have been going through chemo treatment and radiation, now my hair is about 3 inches long. My I am having hot flashes,so it is very difficult for me to put something on my head at night, I moisture it every day but it dries out over night. Oh my hair is super thick and it is very difficult to get to my scalp. Is there something I can spray that will stay in my hair?

    • Martha says:

I really enjoyed reading the info on natural hair.
Look forward to receiving the material I purchased. I just started wearing my own hair, its a lot of work now, but i already see myself working smart and not hard.

Hi,I just wanna say thank you so much.I finally decided to go natural. My hair has been retouched since my childhood,I guess my mum just didn’t know any other way to handle my hair.I have began to learn my hair n take better care of it..thnks to ur video when u wanted to make a point that texture doesn’t matter.that was the point where I decided to go natural.afterall those relaxers never retouch my hair properly n I’ve had enough.I appreciate the thickness, coarseness and sponginess of my hair better. Now that that’s been said, about the e-book,it was very insightful and educative…thnks. However,I kinda expected that it would contain more information about transitioning and hair care and stuff like that.btw,I like your voice too, enjoyed ur videos.caio

Your ebook really inspired me… and since reading it and taking care not to touch when dry I have really seen a difference in my once upon time dry and tangled puff ball. I still have a long way to go and have plenty of experimenting to do but I’m definitely more confident that I will reach my hair goal. Keep up the great work, you have truly opened my eyes and made me see that being natural doesn’t mean being limited but being LIBERATED….. and I’m loving it!!

  24. Veronica Graham says:

Thanks so much for the e-book, it has so many wonderful tips that I will be using. My mom even loves the book. You are and will continue to be blessed for your generosity.

  26. dian says:

It was a pleasure to read.It cuts through the muddle of natural hair information out there and goes to the foundations of healthy hair care.

  27. Casterderia Peters says:

Thanks for the help I am going to use it.

  28. Michelle says:

The information from the e-book is very help and I’m doing my first length check challenge using the information in the book.

  29. Deanna says:

Thank you for making this available! I learned a lot from it…very informative! This is my 2nd time on this natural journey, and my biggest problem was keeping my hair moisturized. I find now, w/ reading your book and seeing your videos, I believe I can make it a successful transition, this time around!

  30. Tamika says:

It was great. It really just went back to things that we did as children. Thank you again for posting it. I love you youtube channel as well.

  31. Danita says:

    Hey,

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the e-book. I just found a couple sentences with odd wording so I’m sure if I am interpreting it the way you intended.

Section 2: “In general, if your hair is dry or curly by nature, you should wash it fewer times than seven days a week.”
You mean wash it less often? Perhaps, once a week?

Section 9: “Resist the urge not to shampoo in the wintertime, and keep your schedule regular in order to get rid of pollutants”
You mean I should continue the regular washing routine (once a week), right? I actually co-wash, my question is more along the lines of how often.

I really appreciate your E-book. I have been reading natural hair care information for months and the wealth of knowledge is amazing. I really enjoy learning and people like you are so encouraging. More knowledge leads to better hair care which leads to longer stronger natural hair.
    Thank you
PS the e-book didn’t download for me when I signed up so I really appreciate you sending it in that email :-)

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

      Hello!!

Yes, you should wash your hair less often, so not every day. I think once a week is good. That’s what I do for the most part.

I get emails with a lot of concerns about washing their hair in the winter, so that’s why I mentioned that. You should continue your regular wash routine in the winter, so once a week would be good if that’s what your hair is used to.

I’m glad you were able to receive it once I sent it again! Thanks for the feedback!! Take care!! :0)

  32. seejanesweat says:

Love the book. Great information. I’m transitioning for 12 months now and I workout every day and get drenched in sweat so I have to wash my hair every day. I have started co-washing. My hair feels healthier and stronger. Any tips for someone who must wash their hair everyday?

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

If your hair is long enough, I’d say … Keep it twisted! :0)

That will decrease the amount of detangling that you will need to do which will help minimize breakage. Good job on working out everyday! I know that is tough!

  33. Thank you so much for the ebook, it was good to see that I am mainly on track with the things I do now to maintain my hair. I have only been on my natural hair journey for 6 months but I do see a difference in the condition of my hair. Now my only problem is getting those cute styles I see on Utube.I live in Australia and cannot get the store bought products recommended, can you suggest natural products that I can mix myself? I already use the natural oils with Shea butter but I need a shampoo and a leave in conditioner that I can get anywhere. I believe my hair is protein sensitive so I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks again it is nice to have help. Please visit my site at http://www.hairmatesbysheree.com a site I started to help myself and others who hair needs a mate/friend once in while

    • Paulette Buncombe says:

Hi I saw you were looking for shampoo and leave-in….I have a site you can checkout and they sale shampoo and conditioner also. If you are interested email me or if there is a walmart in the hair section they have cantu shampoo and leave-in also.

  34. Reecie says:

    Hi
I did enjoy your e-book! I like how if focusses on diet and exercise as well how to handle your hair. I am in the process of figuring out what my hair likes. I have the products down and I do wash once a week. I have been wetting it daily and not sure if my scalp likes that (trial and error). I’m not sure if I’m shedding or if my hair is breaking and I’m trying to find the best detangling method for my hair. I still have a lot of learning to do. I do exercise at least 5 day per week and I drink tons of water so IDK. :o ( With that said I love my natural hair. Your book is very helpful and I love you videos!

  35. Gwen says:

I notice in one of your tips you mention about doing hot oil treatments. Do you have tutorial on this? What steps did you take and what oils did you use?

  36. Nikkijean says:

Thank you so much for sharing this information. I found it very helpful, as per usual with your youtube vids. Your positive energy motivates me and other naturals to give our hair the care it deserves. Keep up the good work dear :-)

  37. MsBrooks says:

i found the information very informative i use the methods on my two daughters hair too. Now i never manipulate their hair when its dry thank you.

  38. Sandra says:

    Hi,

I did enjoy the e-book. I particularly appreciated the focus on clean water.
Thanks for sharing your book :)

  39. Shanta says:

Thank you so much for your videos on YouTube! I find them to be very helpful! Your calmm voice, personality is totally a plus! The E-Book was very informational as well. I will definately start applying the suggestions. Thanks for being personal also! :) I look forward to more tutorial, hairstyles to try out as well.

Thank you for ALL of your thought, effort, and time you put into helping all of us natural curlies!!! God bless you through Jesus Christ! :0)

  40. Liz says:

    Hi and greeting from Barbados,
I’ve just read your e-book and I think that its very informative and well put together with tips that would help motivate me to stick it out this time and not resort to straightening my hair again. I did my “bigchop” about 6 weeks ago on October 1st and was lookin for something to help me out in terms of takin care of it and this little book helps alot. My only thing is that where i’m from we dont have seasons like in the USA. We have sun about 300 days a year roughly. So its either sunny or rainy or overcast. With this kind of weather its hard to keep my hair moisturized for long periods so I was wonderin if you have any tips that could help. Thanks again and I look forward to seein more of you in your videos on youtube. Keep up the good work :) .

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

      Hi Liz!! :0)

I’m so jealous! I wish I was in Barbados!! it’s so cold in Indy! Send some sun my way!! Lol!

Thanks so much for you feedback! Congrats on your Big Chop! That’s so exciting!!

The main thing I would say is be careful with the oils. With all of the sun, you don’t want to fry your hair, and the oils could actually do the opposite. So I would sugg using cream moisturizers if your hair likes them! When you use oils, i’d suggest mainly at night. Don’t forget your deep conditioning treatments! :0)

  41. Vonda says:

    Hi LBN,

I enjoyed the ebook, it was great and thanks for all the informative videos. Just a reminder that the sun is the BEST source of vitmain D although too much sun can be harmful to our skin and of course drying to our hair :( Of course, prescription dose vitamin D (50,000 IU weekly for sevral weeks), milk, fish, fish liver oils, and egg yolks (watch cholesterol) are supplements and food products that are alternate options for sources of vitamin D. Sorry, I am going on a tangent but this type of discussion is what I do daily with my patients in my profession and thought I might share it with you in case you didn’t come across this it during your research. Thanks again for all the information and videos you share and I look forward to more.

  42. gettinghairinfo says:

Thanks for the book. Great information. We are almost a year apart in the natural world. My last relaxer was March 2010 and I cut all my relaxer off(big chop) in Sep 2010:)

  43. Michelle says:

    LBN:
Thank you for the E-book. It was a wonderful reminder for me and my hair. Many things on the list, I’m already doing but several of them, I’m still working to incorporate into my daily schedule such as consistent exercise and drinking waaayy more water. Your E-book is informative, easy to follow, comprehensive, and genuinely honest. I’m so glad I found your website. I’m just giving fair warning that I’m going to need to “stalk” your site for the next few months for your exercise videos because I’m trying to get back in shape and you bring it with the exercise. So don’t be “scared” cuz I’m harmless. Just want to see how the exercises are done maam, just the exercises. (LOL) Thanks again.
    Michelle in Texas.

  44. Anita says:

I loved the e-book. It was well written, easy to read and extremely informative. Thanks for your willingness to share the benefits of your experiences with other naturalista. I also love watching your videos. You are very creative and inspiring. Be blessed.

  45. Shallonda says:

I definately need to start taking my vitamins again.

  46. Tomorrah says:

This is great information for us naturals, and even those who are not :-) . I have been natural for 2 &1/2 years now and didn’t have a clue as to how to take care of my hair. This is a great resource for those newly natural folks out there and a reminder for those of us who have been natural for sometime now and forget all the little tips and tricks that we used when we first started.
    Thanks again!!

  47. Trina says:

Hi Luvbeinnatural! I really enjoyed the ebook. It was very informative. It will be a year on December 31st since I’ve had a relaxer. So I guess I can call myself a newbie when it comes to natural hair. The information on diet and water was especially great! Thank u 4 sharing your knowledge on natural hair! Looking forward to receiving more information! Blessings

  48. Amber says:

Thank you so much for this informative e-book. I am starting on my natural hair journey again after 8 years with a relaxer. This information is a gem.

  49. shelly says:

I have been doing pretty good w keeping my length, but your book showed that i have room for improvement!!! thanks for the encouragement to do more. I really enjoyed the points you made.

  50. RaCHEL says:

This e-book is great so far! Good stuff in here. What I was really surprised taht I didn’t know about was the tap water and the the chemicals in it thats not good for our hair. I think that might the reason my hair is dry alot. Just found out that theres alot of lime plants in my area, so i’ll have to a water filter!! This will probably help my hair feel better… Thank for this book and website!

  51. Jean says:

Excellent book, so much information. waiting on the next e-book.

  52. Jemilla says:

Absolutely love your E-book. Very informative. I learned quite a bit about vitamin supplements that are great for hair growth that I knew nothing about before and I have been completely natural almost 2 years. I now can see things that I have been doing to hinder my growth and length retention. I will definitely be incorporating the supplements as well as better diet, more water and definitely exercising. Love your YT channel as well. Very helpful. Please keep tips and styles coming!!

  53. yvette says:

loved the book a lot of informative information i plan to use thanks .will be looking forward for more information both me and my twelve year old daughter are natural we both love the way our hair is growing out .

  54. LaToya says:

Thank you for the information!!! I now know what it takes to maintain and grow healthy hair. It first starts with a healthier ME! Peace and Blessings!!!

  55. Rayna says:

I really liked the book, I think the two things I took from it that I can use most are the tips about eating (which I knew but is so hard to do) and the water. I have extremely hard water where I live, and I didn’t realize exactly how much it affected things until I went to another part of the country to visit where the water is much much softer, and saw the incredible difference in my skin (for the better), so I can only imagine what it would be like for my hair…so I will really have to look into a filtration system. Thanks again.

  56. roxie says:

Thank you so much for the book. I found it the be so helpful. There’s alot of information that truly i will use to grow my hair. I started watching what i eat (more fruits and vegs.) and drinking more water too!! Your tips of how to shampoo i really like and will use. Thank you for everything.

  57. Karen J says:

Very nice. The e-booklet was very easy to read and understand, even for my 11 yr old daughter. I printed a copy for her. She is now seeing for herself (Youtube) and understanding (e-book) why her mommy loves being natural. Could you provide more information on dry itchy scalp and hairstyle ideas for even kids/teens. THANKS FOR CARING ENOUGH TO SHARE!!!

  58. omegawife1 says:

I really liked your e-book. It was short, sweet, and to the point. Not like other thousand page books. The book is very informative and very simple for anyone to follow. Thanks for sharing.

  59. LaTonya says:

This ebook has helped me alot! I will look for products with sun protection! THANK YOU :-)

  60. Stacey says:

Love the e book! Very informative! I am really having a ard time in the process. At times I feel like pitting a relaxer back in it but then again I have made it 13months without one.

  61. Paulette Buncombe says:

I loved the information on the E-book! I learned alot more than I already know and I enjoyed reading it….Can’t wait til read more!!!

  62. maydean says:

thanks for all the information you have given,

  63. Traci says:

I really appreciate your e-book on natural hair care.It is my goal to learn as much as I can on my journey. I have been natural for six years.Thank you for the knowledge that you share with us.Keep on doing this you are truly a blessing thank you again for sharing.

  64. Dee says:

The ebook is great information. Most of the content I already knew about but it’s always good to hear it agin especially when you don’t practice what you know. You have inspired me so much, it’s time to put what I know to work. Thank you so much for taking the time to post the ebook, pictures, videos and wonderful words of encouragement. I look at your page all the time…thank you

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Thanks so much Dee!! Yeah, the hardest part for me too is making sure I do what I know I should be doing! Lol! Thanks for the feedback!!

  65. Samantha says:

I think your ebook’s really good!

I sent you a message via YouTube about some things that I worry about and how after reading your ebook, I’m worrying about it even more and what you think I should do? I guess I’ll email it to you instead.

  66. Tonga says:

I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer but I am still unable to downloatd the e-book. I have received 2 different links but nothing seems to work. I truly want to read your book as I have only been transitioning for 15 months and just recently cut the last of my perm out on 21 Nov 2011. My goal is to grow and retain healthy hair. I was taking Hairfinity vitamins but my face has broken out with terrible acne so I don’t take any vitamins at all right now. Anyway, if there is another way you can send me your e-book I would really appreciate.

So you don’t think I’m loosing it…lol. When I click on the links, they send me to about:blank is in the URL, and the page is blank and remains that way. Thanks for sharing all that you do, I have learned to do.

  67. Adrienne says:

Hello beautiful! I agree with the others. The e-book was quite informative, to the point, and easy to read. Thanks so much for putting it together! *BigHug*

  68. Canty says:

I liked the e-book. I sort of new most of the info in it, and picked up some new tips myself. But id rather watch your videos, i like to watch you doing your own routines, and seeing what works best for you, than what comes out of a book. I am still looking forward into the new method of washing my hair, like you do with the twist. I think i need to just put more time into it, i like how you take care of your hair. Its a lot of work but does pay off in the end.

  69. Tamekia says:

Hi. I absolutely love the book! It is very informative and I have learned a lot. Everyday is a struggle for me trying to have a healthy balance diet and trying to take care of my hair. The book is very helpful and is a goto guide now! Thanks so much :) Be Bless

  70. Berell says:

Simple yet practical. I really appreciate you taking the time to put this ebook together:)

  71. Cornelia says:

Hey, I just want to tell you that I really enjoyed the book. There was a lot of useful info that I needed and I really appreciate it. I’m really excited about my natural journey!! Thanks!!

  72. shamara says:

I really enjoyed learning some things I didn’t know about my hair. I used to be so caught up on how others care for their hair and try do the same things to mine. Now with the help of what I read and some of what I already knew before my hair can be at its’ most healthy state.

  73. Soraya Miller says:

I found the book quite informative, will remember to not detangle when the hair is dry. Thank you for the great tip

  74. Tabitha says:

I really enjoyed the Ebook. It was very informative, especially the part on nutriution. Which is something that i struggle with but I am trying to get better

  75. Jai Rouse says:

I relly enjoyed the book. It is good for good hair care in general. It was very helpful especially since I am a new natural. I will definitely keep up with the website and youtube vids. I am truly a fan!

  76. Douraine Donaldson says:

Thank you for taking the time to write a well needed informative e-book. I enjoyed reading it while I was installing mini twists in my hair. :) I agree so much about the point concerning diet. I tried being a vegetarian for a time. I think I am going to try going back to that. Also thank you for all the efforts you put into your videos. Keep them coming! Do you plan on putting out more e-books?

  77. Kettie says:

Thank you so much for that amazing E-book. It has lots of valuable information which is very helpful. I enjoy learning new things about how to care for my hair and this e-book has thought me about the importance of diet and exercise.

  78. Annamarie Gill says:

Hi, the e-book was very informative. I learnt a lot from it. I know for sure diet, exercise and water intake is increasing. Thanks for sharing that with us.

  79. Janee' says:

Hey!! I thought I made a post on here, but now I can’t find it. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for the e-book. It was really informative and insightful and I definitely think you should write another one. I do have a question: how often do you trim your ends? I’ve been natural for 1.5 years and I trim every six weeks. Now I’m noticing that my hair doesn’t seem to be growing, and my friend, who is also natural, says that I should trim once a quarter. What do you think? Thanks!!

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

When it comes to trimming, in my opinion there is no ‘set’ time that you need to trim your hair. It all depends on how well you take care of your ends. If they are in good shape, no need to cut them off. But on the other hand, if you ends are constantly being damages, then you may need a trim all the time! It just depends. A rule of thumb for me is when my ends start looking tattered and straggly, then it’s time to trim. But if they curl right up, then they are good to go! :0)

  80. Tymisha says:

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. What I took most from the book is learning to leave my hair alone when it is dry. I am so used to getting my hair dry before I can work with it but this seems to be the main reason why my hair appears not to be growing. My hair is at an awkward stage where its not a TWA and cute but not long enough for many other styles either and i just end up pulling it back into a low ponytail. I need to find age appropriate styles where I can manipulate my hair less when its dry. If you can email some tips or styles I would really appreciate it.

Thanks so much for passing on your knowledge, and may you continue to be blessed.

  81. Tammie says:

Hi Luv! Thank you for you E-book. You provided a lot of great tips for caring for my hair. I will definitely be using them in the near future!

  82. von says:

The information is very informative I have incorporated many of the tips mentioned already.

  83. Kaela says:

Wow! A wealth of information…It brought to light some things that I have not considered in proper hair maintenance. Thank you so much for sharing!

  84. Yulonda says:

thank you so much for the ebook there was so much helpful information but I would say that what sticks out the most is my eating habits affecting the growth and overall health of my hair. I plan on doing a lot better.

  85. Tanita says:

Thank you for you ebook. I had some question in regards to the do’s and don’t however, you never stated what I should use. I really do enjoy watching your youtube videos it gave me something to look forward to. I have been natural for almost 3 years. I have my ups and downs but overall everyone at work seems to love my healthy hair. although I am not into wearing a afro. LOL!

  86. LadyE1218 says:

This book was very informative. Great tips on how to care for natural hair. Many people struggle with maintenance tips. This book really does help a lot with that.

  87. brenda says:

u go girl! tnx 4 putting 2 gether all the infor that is scattered thru out youtube.

  88. Shakeitha says:

I love this e-book. It is very helpful and easy to read. I love the fact that it gets right to the point and therefore not boring.

  89. Yveline says:

Thank you so much for the ebook. It was very informative.. I have a pretty good idea how to take care and nurture my hair now, to get the length that I desire. I also enjoy watching your You Tube videos which are very informative as well. keep up the great work, the natural community depend on you..!

  90. Allanna says:

I appreciate the fact that you give the whole picture and do not encourage a one dimentional approach. Hair is affected by all those things. Many of us (myself included) are looking for a quick fix. You have a positive spirit and I respond to that.

  91. Shaun says:

I truly enjoyed your ebook and I have started making some changes already. Thanks again and please keep the video’s coming.

  92. I love the ebook, thanks so much for your time. It was very straight forward and well written. :)

  93. Mika says:

    Hello Luvbeinnatural,
The information you provided in your e-book was very informative. I now understand how eating right AND being active can play a major part with growing healthy hair. I have been natural for 1 year and it has been a journey. I have had my ups and many downs :-( but I’m not giving up. I’m still learning new things daily about my hair! Thanks so much for the info and your YouTube videos are very helpful as well.
    Stay blessed

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Yes Mika!! :0) Don’t give up! It will get better, we all have our ups and plenty of downs! But it is so worth it! Congrats on your year!! For me, the first year was the hardest!! -_- Thanks so much and I’ll talk to you soon!

  94. Patty says:

Thanks luvbeinnatural! I really enjoyed your ebook. The information was very informative and I do plan to make some adjustments to to my eating habits like getting more green vegetables in. Also, I really loved the information you shared in the book about protecting our hair against the sun. Very helpful!!! Thanks again, Patty!!!!

  95. Nyla says:

About cutting hair, I read elsewhere that it has nothing to do with retaining length, but just helps to keep a clean appearance. Is that true, or did I happen to miss something?

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Hey Nyla! That is somewhat true. If your ends are healthy, then there is no need to cut your hair. But if your ends are damages and/or split, then you do need to cut it, otherwise you will experience lots of breakage and it will be just about impossible to retain length. So it all depends on how well you take care of the ends of your hair.

  96. Chimera says:

i really appreciate the e-book..and thanks for taking the time to get it out there for others to see. you got in depth and i really like that. the tips were excellent and on point. :) Increasing my exercise regimen (dont really have one lol) is something i plan to work on.
    Again thanks. :)

  97. Rubyjewlz says:

Hey! I found the book to contain some very simple, straightforward and healthy advice! Some of the points were things I’ve never paid much attention to, mostly because I’m so lazy :D
A few of the things were totally new to me while others I thought of as plain commonsense! Either way, it was a nicely written, informative mini-book.

  98. Andrea says:

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I’m transitioning and I really appreciate the info. I am so exciting to see what you have coming next.

  99. Justine Flint says:

    Wow! Very informative.

  100. Justine Flint says:

I have a question, what do you use to create your twist? I am a fan of your twist styles. In fact, I was unsure as to how to wear my natural hair until I saw one of your videos. Thanks for being an inspiration. Great job.

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Thanks! I usually coat my hair with leave-in conditioner (right now I use Knot Today mixed with essential oils) and then twist with a little styling product (Usually either Miss Jessie’s Curly Pudding or Karen’s Body Beautiful Creamylicious)

  101. Kathleen says:

Very good information. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. :)

  102. Ebknuckles says:

This was VERY INFORMATIVE! Thank you sooo much! My only question is when it comes to clipping your ends. I don’t know how to tell what’s healthy & what’s worthy of being cut?

  103. Yvette says:

I had read over you e-book, my hair is fine, but it do frizz alot and shades alot, i am trying to keep my hair moisture my ends alot its not easy, I just need simple things done to my hair, because when you get order your hair changes. I just want healthy and for my hair to grow right and longer.

  104. Sally says:

I love the ebook, thanks so much for your time. It was very straight forward, well written and very informative…. Thank you :-&

  105. Jamila says:

I really enjoyed this ebook. While the information wasn’t necessarily new, I did enjoy how everything was explained in a simple and realistic manner. Besides I could always use a refresher course on how to take care of my natural hair.

I found some very helpful information in the book. I especially like regarding food and clean water. Thanks for sharing.

  108. Deborah says:

I really enjoyed your e-book. The information was very clear. As it now stands, I am doing everything you suggested. This made me feel good. As I continue to follow you, I will look forward to the great suggestions you offer. Thanks so much for taking the time to educate and inform us on how to maintain our valuable asset—our natural hair!

  109. Fran says:

    Thanks for the informative e-book.

  110. Zaneta McDonald says:

Sorry for the late reply. I did receive the e-book and yes it is very informative. There are somethings that I will add to my daily routine. Thanks for the information.

    Zaneta McDonald.

  111. Adrienne says:

Hi. I appreciated your book. I especially appreciated the fact that it was free, that you are giving back. I think that was really nice. Your tips are good, however, I think most of the tips you gave were kind of “standard”. I was looking for something unique. Is there nothing “special” that you do for your own hair that wasn’t included in the e-book?? Also, no one ever talks about the fact that all hairs are not equal. Some are naturally thin and fragile and break more easily than others. Everyone cannot grow waist length hair. That’s just a fact. Do you agree?

    • luvbeinnatural luvbeinnatural says:

Hey Adrienne! Thanks for taking the time to read the eBook, and give feedback! I really appreciate that! I personally think less is more, and I wanted to keep the eBook simple and straight to the point with the ‘necessities’ for healthy natural hair. So that’s why I didn’t get into the lavish treatments for hair and things like that. But there isn’t anything special that I do to my hair, like a hidden secret or anything. I just keep it simple. I think encouraging people to embrace their own hair is talking about the fact that everyone’s hair is different. I agree with you on that fact, yes, no two people have the same head of hair. But I’m not going to say that there’s anyone out there that just plain ‘cannot’ grow waist length hair. Nothing is impossible and if that’s the goal someone wants to achieve, and they are willing to do what it takes to achieve it, then nothing is going to stop them from reaching that goal. I think that goes with anything in life! It just depends on what each individuals goals are and how bad they want it.

The e book was very informational. I know some of us read the information, follow it for some time, and then “fall off” or get lazy and forget why we were doing it in the first place. Then our hair stops thriving and then we’re back at one. This book can give us this boost whenever we reach the “lows” in our hair journey, to remind us of all the things we need (and should) be doing.
